Northview's FAQ

  • Who is Northview InfoTech Services?

Northview IT is an online platform for telecom/networking management, specializing in finding the best carrier services to meet your network needs without bias towards any particular vendor.

We obtain quotes, assist in selecting the best option, and handle implementation, as well as provide a centralized management portal for all your provider services and contracts. In case of any issues with your service provider, we serve as your representative to resolve the problem.

  • How Does Northview InfoTech Services work?

Northview Infotech Services simplifies procurement and vendor management for telecom services such as connectivity, WAN, colocation, and voice, optimizing IT spending and organization for enterprises. Ideal for IT leaders managing complex networks, our services streamline workflows, audit contracts and IT spending, all at no cost.

  • If the product is Free, how does Northview InfoTech Services make money?

Northview Infotech Services operates by receiving a commission from vendors on the services you purchase through us. This commission doesn’t affect the final cost of the service and allows us to offer our product for free.

Our priority is always finding the best vendor and pricing for you, regardless of commission. In some cases, we may even recommend and sell services with no commission if it’s in your best interest.

  • Will I get a better price for my services by going directly to the provider or carrier?

You may wonder if buying directly from a provider or carrier would result in a better price, but the answer is no. The reason for this is that even if you buy directly, a sales representative still earns a commission, which is included in the price you pay. It’s better for the customer to have a vendor-agnostic and customer-focused agent, like Northview InfoTech Services, receives the commission instead of a carrier-focused salesperson.

Northview InfoTech Services aims to reduce the reliance on expensive sales teams and drive down costs overall. Moreover, telecom providers generate over 50% of their sales through the agent channel, and agents would not sell their services if the providers were offering a lower price directly to consumers. We are confident in our ability to beat or match any open-market price, as we’ve successfully done so numerous times.

  • How is Northview InfoTech Services display itself as a nationwide agent versus regional providers?

Regional telecom agents often work directly for a few telecom providers and may only have a specific geographic coverage (Southeast for example). They are often very knowledgeable regarding their respective providers’ offerings within their coverage footprint, but they will rarely cover the full swath of potential providers at any one location.

Regional agents are only compensated when they sell specific providers’ services. This means that when you utilize a telecom agent, they are not incentivized (or often able) to provide you with all of the potential connectivity options. This leads to decreased competition among providers and higher costs for the consumer.

Post-install, we don’t stop helping you. Our “lifecycle management” capabilities help you manage issues or changes across your network for as long as the service is turned up. Our inventory dashboard will help your entire team stay organized and on top of your network at all times.

  • Does Northview InfoTech Services have onshore person for my questions?

At Northview InfoTech Services, every customer and their service is assigned a dedicated account manager who will be your advocate throughout the entire process, from quote to renewal. While you can manage your IT network online with our platform, a phone call with one of our IT experts to outline your needs and set expectations can be helpful, especially for first-time users. You will be kept in the loop on implementation-related emails with providers, but you won’t have to manage those conversations yourself, as we’ll handle them for you.

  • Who is my point of contact for services once contracts are signed?

Once you have completed the contract signing process, your service provider is responsible for providing support for your services. However, Northview InfoTech Services maintains a centralized portal where you can keep track of the details and contact information for each service you have in place. In case of an emergency or major support concern, we recommend contacting the carrier directly for resolution as they typically have a Service Level Agreement in place that requires them to fix issues within a specified timeframe. If you have trouble reaching the vendor, our team is always available to assist with escalation. For non-urgent issues such as billing, SLA violation, or repair requests, we can open a ticket on your behalf and follow up until the issue is resolved.

  • Who will bill me for the services I buy through Northview InfoTech Services?

When you purchase through Northview InfoTech Services, your billing will come directly from the provider as an invoice. If you have multiple services with the same provider, your bills may be combined. If you have services with multiple providers, they will be invoiced separately. If bill consolidation is important to you, our team can assess if it’s a feasible option based on the specifics of your situation. Contact us to discuss this further.
